A General Guide to Installing Your Art Pieces

This guide can not and does not take into account your architectural structures.. walls.. hardware.. tools.. experience.. location of art piece/s.. or unique requirements in general. It is purely a guide.

 

Your Resonance Art piece/s are precious.. and although most of the surfaces are incredibly tough.. the material can still bend or dent. So.. unless you are a highly experienced handy person who is totally sure about what you are doing.. PLEASE seek the services and advice of an experienced professional Art Installer. 

 

All Resonance Art pieces are delivered ready to hang. Use the correct fittings for your situation and requirement. You want stability.. safety.. AND the desired effect. Make sure the  screw/s or hook/s you use to hang your pieces meet these requirements.

Hanging Your Resonance Art

 

Floating Shadow Frame:::

 

 

Depending on your art installer.. Your Resonance Art piece/s will sit approximately 1.3cm -1/2inch off the wall.. creating a ‘shadow effect’. The hidden frame is finished with rounded edges and protective rubber pads.. to minimise any chance of marking your walls.

For smaller Resonance Art pieces.. there may be either two horizontally-mounted parallel backing channels.. fitted with a metal ‘keyhole’ hanging mount at the top.. OR a sturdy-yet-lightweight backing board that is fitted with a metal ‘keyhole’ hanging mount at the top.

For larger Resonance Art pieces.. there is a sturdier backing frame to ensure structural support and so the art pieces stay flat and secure.

Depending on the unique requirements of the art piece.. the artisan creating it will fit

1. a wire hanging mechanism on the back 

or

2. 2x ‘D’ brackets on the back

or

3. both

..which can be adjusted / moved to your ideal position for hanging.

Regardless of the Resonance Art piece size.. most backing frames have a channel that provides opportunities for your art installer to fit alternative or additional hanging hardware to suit your unique art installation requirements.

Depending on your art installer.. your Resonance Art will sit approximately 3.3cm  / 1.3inch from the wall.

The artisanal craftsperson will assess the art piece and either fit

1. a wire hanging mechanism on the back 

or

2. 2x ‘D’ brackets on the back

or

3. both

..which can be adjusted / moved to your ideal position for hanging.

Tasmanian Oak Frame:::

 

 

Depending on your art installer.. your Resonance Art will sit 3.5cm / 1.37inch deep from the wall.

When viewed from the front.. the frame moulding is 0.7cm / 0.28inch wide.. with a small gap between The Resonance Art and the timber frame moulding. There is normally an adjustable wire hanging system on the back.. unless your artisan maker has calculated that it requires ‘D’ brackets.

This is a general guide to prepare you for the installation of your Resonance Gift Art Piece/s OR Resonance Card Wall Art Piece/s..  so you can plan their installation / hanging. We are providing this information without guarantee of accuracy.. as general information for your benefit. All Art pieces are delivered ready to hang.. however before you start.. we highly recommend that you either consult with your local hardware store.. or ideally  a Professional Art Installer for specific advice to suit your unique conditions and requirements.

A SPECIAL NOTE ON ADHESIVE HANGING MATERIALS

Depending on your walls and wall surfaces.. you may be able to use high quality adhesive picture hanging materials.

To do this.. you need a stable wall surface that you or your installer have cleaned without residue. Unstable surfaces such as ‘chalky’paint.. or dusty / greasy / dirty surfaces will result in poor adhesion.

Heat may cause the glue to deteriorate causing the Art Piece to fall.

Make sure you follow all the manufacturer instructions on the packet / instruction leaflet / instruction video.

Note that it is always wise to ‘over-engineer’ by using higher capacity adhesive fittings than the weight of your Resonance Gift Art Piece.

Resonance Gift Art Pieces 

Hidden Hanging System - Mirror Gloss Metal:::

The ‘Hidden Hanging System’ for the 11inch / 28cm Round - Mirror Gloss Metal has a channel along the top that can securely rest on properly installed suitable wall-anchors or hooks.

Recessed Hanging Groove - Satin Wood:::

Besides hanging them.. you can display the 8 X 8inch / 20 X 20cm ‘Satin Wood’ art pieces on window ledges.. benches.. altars and places of importance to you. Simply lean them against walls or objects at an angle.

The Satin Wood has an 18mm / 0.7inch deep raw exposed timber edge. There is a recessed hanging groove at the back. It allows you to hang your art on suitable wall-anchors.. screws or hooks.
